Arts Council Funding Award for Building Foundations Project

Local Organisation SV²G has been granted funds from  Arts Council England to continue the development of their work within the community.  The project “Building Foundations” has enabled the organisation to run the first National School of Steelpans for accreditation and an examination purposes.  SV²G will further the development to facilitate new creative development opportunities for and with young people into further education and employment. The organisation encourages participation and  volunteering to all members in the community with thier current projects.

You can see the organisation showcase its work at the Wycombe Community Festival this year on 23rd July 2011 at the Rye. The Festival is in partnership with Wycombe District Council & SV2G that is part of the London 2012 Open Weekend celebration for the Olympic & Parlympic Games.
