SPETA is a professional organisation for steelpan educators and tutors, initially sponsored by ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royals Schools of Music) and facilitated by SV2G. In conjunction with the University of the West Indies, SV2G can provide ongoing professional development for SPETA members with CPD training programmes.
Membership of SPETA is open to any steelpan tutors in the UK and also to existing music teachers that wish to learn more about the steelpan instrument and the delivery of lessons in an academic environment.
